Recently widowed after my wife's long illness, and ready to start afresh and make the most of what life has to offer

I was married for 26 years and lost my wife to cancer recently. I was a loyal and faithful husband but I now want to live again . I run a successful business and am in reasonable health. Would compare myself to Michael Caine. (Not the young one, the old one!) Not fantastic looking, not great posture, not a great athlete but somehow good to be around. Brought up in a large Canadian family, I really miss the accent and buzz. I hold a Canadian passport though it needs to be renewed.

I hope to find romance which may lead into a lifelong love. If the spark is there then I`m looking for a fire, not embers! I have loved all of my life and I don`t want to stop now. Its just so much better to look out for each other in so many little ways. The natural comfort that only lovers/friends share without even thinking about it.

I have a wonderful life, but it’s just a shell without a fulfilling relationship.
I am extremely honest, kind, gentle and thoughtful. I want to travel with someone and discover cities and new experiences. To share what’s going on in our lives but not in a manipulative way. I don`t mind shopping trips but would prefer to max at a few hours if poss.
