Hi thanks for checking out my profile. My name is Dave I am new to the Portland area. I am an avid skier, enjoy hiking, sailing, and just about anything I can do outside. I am a Mechanical Engineer and enjoy my job and have had a great deal of success in my field. Although I enjoy my career I am one of those people that work to live and not live to work. I have the opportunity to travel a great deal with work. I enjoy it a great deal but love to come home to Maine. There is just something about the people here in New England that make life so enjoyable. I see myself in the next ten years done with work traveling, sailing my boat, and skiing. I hope to have a woman in my life that would enjoy doing these things too.
I come from an Irish family with three younger sisters. We are very tight and all share a zest for life. Growing up we used laughter in every aspect of our lives and that still holds true for me today. Sometimes I have a hard time being serious as I would rather just laugh and have fun all the time. I think anyone who has ever met me would tell you that I am one of the easiest people in the world to get to know and like. One characteristic those close to me will tell you is that I am honest with and loyal to those in my life. My Astrological sign is Leo-Dog and they don't get anymore honest than that.
I have been single for quite some time now and enjoyed it but lately I find myself wanting something more. I miss having someone who knows all my secrets and I hers. I don't ask for much in a relationship, just honesty and a kind heart. I don't have any problems with age differences in a relationship as long as we have that spark. I do believe that there is that perfect someone out there for me and I know that I'll meet her. Until I do I love to meet new and exciting women that help shape who I am and how I love. Each relationship I have ever had has taught me how to treat a woman and given me insight into what I need from a partner. I am looking for a partner but know we all start off as friends and I love that whole process it is so exciting to not know who will come into your life next.
I don't do the bar thing anymore which is why I am here. I enjoy taking a lady out on the town of a wonderful meal and show. Maybe some dancing but whatever it is it's intimate and memorable.
