Youthful for my age in both body and spirit, I'm generally fit and live a precarious balance between healthy living and an occasional indulgence. No major obsessions I'm aware of, though maybe you could point some out. People have called me refined and gentlemanly, but you will judge for yourself. I like most kinds of music, but jazz and blues are special. I live near downtown and enjoy the many advantages of urban life, including live music and good films. I also like to get out of the city now & then, away from the smog and noise. I prefer my exercise outdoors rather than in a smelly gym, whether it's on skis, a road bike or a tennis court. Indoor activities include books and puttering around my elderly condo in a perpetual effort to improve it. I'm a professional in a creative/design/technical field, and work mostly as a teacher.

As to what's important in a relationship, common interests can help, but we should definitely share how we look and laugh at everyday life. Differences can make things interesting too, and we should be willing to learn from each other. Above all, it's a matter of that elusive chemistry - simply being with each other makes us feel good.
