I am a nice guy looking to meet the right girl. A good girl friend (not girlfriend) of mine recently described me as "unique". She meant it as a compliment. I feel she hit the nail on the head. I am one of those guys who is comfortable with almost anyone. I am a successful IT professional and am as comfortable in an office environment as I am at a hockey game. I love museums, the theatre, and nice restaurants. I also love Stars games, BBQ's, and a good beer. I know it is a cliche, but I DO like to travel. I want to see almost every corner of the earth but I always want some place I can call home. The "Bike" part of my profile name (BikeTravelerTX) means motorcycling. I love to travel on one of my bikes. In the past year I have visited 6 countries and 9 states on a motorcycle. I have seen a lot of beautiful scenery and met many interesting people. I would love to find someone I can share these experiences with. As far as personality goes, I'm an open book. I'm honest, maybe sometimes to a fault. I'm easy going but will not put up with being treated poorly. I love to laugh and to make people laugh. My sense of humor is witty, dry, and sometimes a little irreverent. My friends are important to me and I'll do anything for them. I have many good friends that I may not see any more (because they live half a country away) but that I could sit down and talk to for hours like we saw each other yesterday. First of all, I'm not looking to find someone and get married tomorrow. I'm hoping to find a girl with some of the same interests as me that I can enjoy spending time with. If it turns into more, than that would be good, too. The most important thing I am looking for is intelligence and an open mind. I want someone I can carry a conversation with about anything and who is willing to take a chance now and then. A great sense of humor is also very important, especially being able to take a joke and dish out as much as you get. I want to meet a girl who is attractive and reasonably fit. I'm not looking for perfection, but I am looking for someone who wants to take care of themself because they like the person they are, not because they want to please me. I don't want to sound shallow but if we aren't at least attracted to each other, what is the point of being anything other than friends? Finally, I am looking for an equal relationship. I am an independent person and am looking for the same. I will trust the person I'm with and expect the same from them.
