Ik beschrijf mezelf als:
I have a large circle of good friends, most of whom I've known for many years. Most are local but some have moved away. While I feel fortunate to have so many good friends I'm still looking for one person who will be my best friend and more. Obviously that's why I'm here.
Most people who know me probably don’t suspect that I am a romantic at heart. I’ve reached a point in my life where I want to meet someone, fall deeply in love, and spend the rest of my life with her. I hope that doesn’t sound too intense. I don’t expect this to happen immediately, and would be concerned if it did. I believe true love takes time.
The woman I’m looking for is kind, loving, and nurturing, but is able to take care of herself and set limits. She is also intelligent and has a social conscience but isn’t fanatical about it. She is someone who can tell me if I’ve done something to upset her and what it is. She should be someone who when we are together will really be with me but can also be with herself and at times let me be with me. I realize that every relationship has its rough points and that arguments are inevitable. However I definitely do not what to be in a situation where arguments mean yelling and screaming. That is too reminiscent of my childhood. I want a woman who can share her happiness, support me when I need it, laugh at my jokes; cry with me when I’m sad, and who will expect the same from me.
As far as the particulars go I’m a 52-year-old average looking guy who is 5 foot 8 inches tall and weigh 160 lbs. I have brown/grey hair, not as much as I use to have, and a short beard. I don’t smoke, don’t drink, and don’t do drugs. I prefer someone who is moderate in their use of all of the above. Although I love children I do not want to have any of my own. I workout 5 days a week, but I’m far from a jock and very rarely watch professional sports. Most people who know me would say my sense of humor is one of my most prominent characteristics. I realize there is no way to tell that from what I’ve written so far, but it’s true. I love to laugh more then almost anything else.
