I am going to be truthful with you, so I ask you to be truthful with me. I have a neurological and motor deficit called Primary Lateral Sclerosis (PLS) that has affected my legs so therefore I wear braces to help me walk and I utilize a wheelchair most of the time. This however is only a part of me, and does not define who I am.

I am someone who is looking for a person who cares more about what the person is on the inside rather than what the person looks like on the outside. It has been my experience that the true person lies within and most of the time we miss out on getting to know a real great person because we form opinions based upon what the person looks like on the outside. Given my phyiscal limitations, I would want the ideal person to be willing to try new things and be able to look past my braces and my chair and look into my heart. That is where you will find the true me. They would not feel pity for me or be uneasy about my chair. They would treat me the way they would treat anyone else...and I would return that back to them.

My match would be someone who would be willing to try such things as wheelchair basketball. He would love to go to a baseball game with me, just as much as he would love to sit down and watch corny things such as the Simpsons. He would be able to hold his own in a debate, and would be able to have his own opinions, even if they are different from mine. Above all, he would be true to himself, and not sacrifice who he is just because he thinks that is what I want.
